CODE OF ETHICS TRAINING- Deadline: December 31, 2008

Between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have completed this training as a requirement of membership in another association are not required to complete additional ethics training until the next four year cycle. Failure to comply with this required ethics training is a violation of a membership duty for which the member’s primary association will suspend membership until the training is complete.

When NAR reviewed the active members in NRDS, they found approximately 267,000 members with a Code of Ethics course in their Education record. This would leave approximately 996,000 members who have not yet taken the cycle 2 course. Because NAR is trying to avoid tens of thousands of members all trying to access realtor.org the last week of December (like what happened at the end of cycle), we encourage all members to get their COE training as soon as possible to prevent a ‘melt down’ on realtor.org.

EBOR's Code of Ethics CE Class September 24, 2008 with instructor Kim Daugherty will satisfy the membership requirement as well as give the attendees 3 hours of CE credit. To get free COE training (does not count for CE credit, just fulfills the NAR membership requirement) go to www.realtor.org, scroll down and click on "Take Code of Ethics Training".

Completion of any of the following training between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008 fulfills the COE requirement for Cycle 2:
