ANNUAL MEETING
The Egyptian Board of REALTORS®, Inc. held its Annual Meeting Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, Mt. Vernon, IL. Attending past presidents were recognized in honor of their service to the Board. Past President Al Suguitan installed the 2009 Officers: Scott Farmer, President; Norman Tilley, Immediate Past President and Gary Hill, Secretary/Treasurer. Paula Hill is the Immediate Past President. 2009 Directors are Roman Basi, Richard Davis, Kam Harmon, Linda Lence, Ruth Ann Lewis, Linda Pilkington, Nancy Siegmund and Dave Thompson. Guest speaker Kim Daugherty presented “The Truth about Technology: Succeeding in Today’s Business World.” Recipients of the door prizes were Mary Jane Davis, Omer Chitwood and Cindy Bevis. The meeting concluded with an ice cream social.

CODE OF ETHICS CE CLASS
The Egyptian Board of REALTORS®, Inc. sponsored a continuing education class ETH 1528 Wednesday morning, September 24, 2008. Kim Daugherty, Director of Training for Coldwell Banker Gundaker School of Real Estate, presented the class. One hundred thirteen members were in attendance.

STAGING CLASS
The Egyptian Board of REALTORS®, Inc. sponsored its first home staging class Thursday September 4, 2008. Twenty-five members attended the class. Julea Joseph, interior decorator and professional home stager of Palos Park, IL, presented the class. Julea is known for her appearances on HGTV. She is frequent visitor to the show, Decorating Sense. Julea works with the homeowners furnishings giving the space a new and improved look while spending no money. Members that attended the class earned a new certification “Certified Staging Consultant”. The a.m. session was a classroom learning experience followed by the p.m. session consisting of hands-on staging of a living room, a foyer and a dining room. The attendees reported a fun day of learning. We extend a special “thank you” to instructor Julea Joseph, Sherwin Williams Paint Company for color charts and to Coleman Rhoeds Furniture in West Frankfort for use of the beautiful furniture.
