2008 is the fourth and final year of the current quadrennial REALTOR® ethics training cycle. REALTOR® members: Remember to take your quadrennial code of ethics training before December 31, 2008. Sign-up for the board COE class September 24, 2008 or take free online training today on realtor.org.
REALTORS® Required to Complete Ethics Training for Second Cycle -- Deadline December 31, 2008
Between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have completed this training as a requirement of membership in another association are not required to complete additional ethics training until the next four year cycle.
Continuing Education
ATTENTION: Until further notice the board will not be sending out Home Study order forms. IAR & IDFPRare in the proces of revising all continuing education courses. If you would like to receive a new Home Study information/order form when it is available, email brendaebor@mvn.net and have your name placed on the list.
Agents have three options for obtaining the required continuing education for license renewal:

The Illinois Association of REALTORS® offers a home study option for continuing education credit. REALTORS® may purchase homestudy courses for their own convenience rather than sit in a traditional classroom for scheduled continuing education classes. Home Study courses are available for purchase from your local board. The Egyptian Board of REALTORS®, Inc. in conjunction with the Illinois Association of REALTORS® offers several home study courses. The State of Illinois requires a proctored exam for all continuing education courses. Students may take the proctored exam at the local board of their choice. After completing the course, the student should contact IAR to have the exam sent to that location.3. Online
