Delta's Restaurant and Bar

The restaurant has Aged brick walls and dark wood floors give this restaurant a warm and comfortable feel. The low murmur of conversation and the sound of smoky jazz drifting from the adjoining nightclub blend in the background. The tantalizing aromas of wood smoke, Cajun food and spices hang in the air.

Long narrow windows offer light and a view of the street without giving diners the feeling of being on display. The decor encourages relaxation and socializing. Booths line the walls on both sides and several large wooden tables fill the floor. Colorful posters of Jazz and Blues concerts and festivals as well as photographs of famous performers (many of them autographed) fill the walls. There is a doorway to the left of the entrance that leads to the bar.

In the bar, The aged brick walls and dark wood floors continue on into this room. Actually, it seems to be divided into two separate areas with a long bar dividing them. The area closest to the restaurant is a traditional bar. Neon signs advertising various brands of beer are the only wall decorations. Two regulation sized pool tables take the place of honor in the center of the floor and are surrounded by several tables. There's a dart board against the far wall, as well as an old fashioned pinball machine. Big screen television sets are placed in the corners on either side of the restaurant entrance and are usually set on a sports station. This is obviously a place to go for a good time.

Once you go beyond the bar, the feeling changes. The floors are covered in thick red carpet and there is gold and red flocked wallpaper on the walls. A large stage with amplifiers, microphones and a large piano graces the rear wall and a large uncarpeted area, obviously for dancing, lies in front of it. The dance floor is surrounded by tables of various sizes containing red glass globes with candles. The lighting is dim and the feeling is more intimate than the bar.
