I wanted to
take a moment to let those of you who are interested know a little bit
more about me. I graduated from Mt. Vernon
Township High School in 1993. I then
attended Rend Lake for two years while working at ARDL. After that I transferred to Southern Illinois University
at
Edwardsville where I graduated in 1997 with a degree in General Science
Education and a minor in Chemistry. Next, I taught Chemistry, Physics, and Math at Steeleville High School. I took this position at Mt. Vernon in 1999. Since then I have
received a Master’s Degree and Specialist Degree from Eastern
Illinois University in Educational Administration. I am
currently the Science Department Chairperson at Mt. Vernon Township High
Shool.
Alright, enough about school
stuff! So what do I do
outside of class? Well, sometimes quite a bit. I
spend most of my time with my wife Amy and my little girls Cassidy, Callie, and Chloe. For a while, I played bass guitar with a Christian rock
band named Cross-Eyed and on Orchardville Church's praise team. When I’m not
doing that, I enjoy outside activities, watching Science Fiction, and practicing martial arts are Hawkins School of Tae Kwon Do. HERE is a
short sparring video. This past year I earned my red belt. I've also started
to take an interest in photography. Eventually I hope to
learn enough to make a little extra money taking portrait pictures on
the side.
